Appointment Changes

Posted on:

To reduce your chances of catching COVID-19, support Social Isolation and reduce pressure on your GP practice during this busy time, GP appointments will be carried out over the phone unless there is a clinical need for you to come into the practice. This will help minimise risk while continuing to ensure people get the care and advice that they need. We now have new technology available that will allow you to send photographs direct to your Doctor if required, as well as consulting by video link if appropriate.

All GP appointments bookable by telephone or through online services will be telephone appointments. You should not attend the surgery unless asked to do so by your Doctor.

Patients who use online services (both SystmOnline and the NHS App) should be aware that our clinical system provider who operate the SystmOnline service have released a new smart phone app call Airmid. This app can be downloaded from the Apple and Android app stores with immediate effect, and can be accessed with either your SystmOnline login or NHS digital log in.

The Airmid app has been released ahead of schedule to enable new and improved functionality to be available during the current situation.
